Hello , if anyone is reading this, thank you.
It has been a while since I have written. Many things, events, have happened since since the last time I have written in this blog. One, outstanding miracle, or two outstanding miracles that have occurred is the birth of our grand daughters Emma (Jackie and Dave) and Chloe ( Michelle and Danny). I shall dwell on those miracles at a later date hopefully with pictures. (I promise)
Today, at this moment I am contemplating my so called "Golden Years" as it has arrived, like it or not. Rosemary for one, denies it. I think it is her heritage, from her beloved Dad. (Bless him) Today I have stopped at McDonald's for a coffee (which I recommend over Tim's any day) and an Egg McMuffin. Today I have decided instead of going through the drive thru, I shall relax , read a bit of the news and have my coffee and meal within. As I enter I hear a great deal of chatter and laughter, and it is not coming from "kiddies". There is a group of "Golden Years" people, enjoying a morning together, and enjoying it quite well.
Sitting nearby, I eavesdrop. Compliments on vacation pics, pictures of grand kids being viewed, pictures of a cruise taken, lovely new friends made recently on the cruise, how wonderful to be living in a condo instead of a house, no grass to cut, no snow to clear, compliments ones' new hair do, and gossip and attempts to pair up single friends. These are some of the subjects I over heard. Smiling to myself, I felt comfortable nearby and was almost tempted to join in. If I had Rosemary with me, I think we would have blended in nicely.
Enjoying my coffee and the nearby conversations I texted Rosemary.
"Hey, hope your morning going well, I think we should add another thing to our list to do or buy when in Florida."
She replies, "Going well, thanks babe, how is your morning?"
"I am having breakfast at McDonalds' and enjoying it quite well."
"Great, what shall i put down on our list?"
"Matching walking shoes, for i noticed most all the people i was observing had matching walking shoes."
Her reply, "LMAO"
Every day, each day is "Golden", we are so Blessed with our children and grand children, as well as our family, extended family, and many friends we all love and cherish.
Great first post Ba! I look forward to more! I also look forward to these walking shoes!!
